18 Months & Slacking!

JoJo is 18 months already!! Time is flying by! We had her 18 month old check up on Monday and she is doing good! She grew an inch and lost half a pound. What kid looses half a pound? we are assuming it is because she was a late walker that now she is burning off some of that baby fat! She is developing well. Pretty impressed with all of her words she is saying! All in all a great check-up!

Moms Slacking-

I had good intentions when I sated this blog to get it up and going pretty quick, post atleast once a day. Yep Mom's been slacking! I have put the blog on the back burned the past week because of the accident. All of the paper work and feeling like complete crap has not been fun! The stress has been crazy! We are now upside down on our car by $1200.00 because we didn't have Gap Insurance....Never even heard of it! Really frustrated about it because we were hit, it wasn't my fault why do we have to pay???? Guess I will never understand! On top of that now we don't have the money to buy another car! Luckily we have a back-up vehicle but not sure how long it will last with Dad driving back and forth 45 minutes each way to work. We don't want a new vehicle, we don't want car payments anymore... Ugh the headache. Headaches! Oh My!! I've been going to the Chiropractor now for headaches and back pain, It's going slowly...... I feel better after then the next day I seem to be in more pain! ugh guess this was more of a vent but Thanks for reading and hope you understand on my slacking hopefully I can get back to things next week!

Wordless Wednesday- Happy Birthday Babycakes!

Happy Birthday Babycakes! Sorry I mangled your car!! I was hit head on my a women who turned into my lane! Both me and my sister went to the hospital luckily we are ok just bumps and bruises. Thank God JoJo was home with Daddy!

Who Are You?

This past weekend we went to a friends Birthday Party and JoHanna had a great time! While all of the kids were running circles around her and squirting her with squirt guns she made her own new friend that followed her everywhere! Letting her roam around the yard, smelling flowers and feeling the grass she noticed every time she moved something in front on her moved......Her Shadow! Only armed with my cell phone and her moving so quickly this was the best picture I could get. The rest of the afternoon was filled with lots of clapping, waving and dancing with her Shadow. It was the Funniest thing ever!! She was so excited to see it! I kept asking her who it was?? She kept putting her hands in the air as if she was saying "I don't know!" After showing her my shadow and moving all around the more she caught on, I don't know if she really understood but it sure was entertaining!

Cloth Diaper Friday!

We didn't start JoHanna in Cloth until she was a year old. The past six months for us have been amazing as far as saving and helping out the Enviorment. I think I may have bought 5 packages to keep on hand for when she has a rash or when I have to work. dad's not a huge fan of cloth so when he is home with her he uses disposables. First starting out we didn't have a whole lot of money to invest. I cut the costs by searching on EBay and entering giveaways. As much as the one I recieved from Ebay work my favorite diapers are Charlie Banana's! Dad won a 6 pack for Fathers Day so it was a great surprise for me and a great help to our Family.

You think Cloth isn't for you and Eewwww I don't want to wash those, But really it is simple! After having JoJo I got over the gross factor of alot of things! Washing out a poopy diaper is a breeze. Did you know that your supposed to shake off Poop into the toilet on disposables too? Check your packages, some even say it on there.

Washing is Simple! Normally I run JoJo's Diaps through a cold water rinse, Hot Wash cycle with Cloth Diaper Soap, and another rinse cycle after. Depending on the weather I will toss them in the Dryer for a little bit but I prefer to Sun them! Do you Cloth Diaper? Why? Why Not?

I am hoping that I can share as much as possible about my up and downs with parenting also!

A little info on us: We are a Family of three Mom, Dad & JoJo! We live in Massachusetts. Currently Dad is a Machinist for a Graphite Co. about 45 minutes away from home and I work part time bartending on the weekends! I love being a Stay at home mom and learning as much as I can from JoJo along with teaching her as much as I can. Becoming a Mom was tough, never did I think I would be laid off from one of the greatest jobs I ever had but then finding out I was pregnant along with renting my fathers second floor apartment from him. But now I couldn't imagine my life any other way!
